Biography

Dr. Shuangbo Liu (MD, FRCPC) is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Community Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. She is an interventional cardiologist and clinician scientist. Her clinical and research interests are focused on acute coronary syndrome and percutaneous coronary intervention outcomes as well as women’s heart health (specifically SCAD and MINOCA).

Dr. Liu obtained her MD from the University of Manitoba. She completed for Internal Medicine and Adult Cardiology training in Winnipeg. In 2017, she moved to Toronto to pursue an Interventional Cardiology fellowship at St. Michael’s Hospital. When she completed her clinical training in 2019, she joined St. Michael’s Hospital as a Clinical Associate. She was the lead in the St. Michaels Hospital SCAD clinic, built the St. Michaels Hospital SCAD database and has a number of research projects related to SCAD research.

In September 2020, she joined the interventional cardiology group at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba. She helped build the St. Boniface Hospital SCAD database.
