Biography

Originally from Calgary, AB, Dr. Judy Luu completed a combined MD/PhD with a doctoral focus on using cardiac MRI in patients with ischemic heart disease. After completing her cardiology residency at the University of Manitoba, she went on to pursue a fellowship in Women’s Heart Disease and Health in Los Angeles with world-renowned expert, Dr. Noel Bairey Merz. Most recently, she has completed advanced training in health research methodology and clinical epidemiology under the mentorship of Dr. Sonia Anand from McMaster University.

As a women's heart health cardiologist with expertise in cardiac MRI, Dr. Luu will be developing a dedicated clinical and research program to improve the diagnostic and therapeutic management of women with heart disease at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, where she now resides.

Dr. Luu currently serves on the executive steering committee of the Canadian Women’s Heart Health Alliance as co-chair of the Advocacy Working Group.
