Biography

I am an Associate Professor at York University, and I run the Women’s Cardiovascular Health lab. My research involves the investigation of sex hormones (natural and pharmaceutical) and their role in cardiovascular and respiratory physiology. I investigate the “normal” physiological responses to stressors while bearing in mind sex differences as well as the response of people who have chronic conditions that are more often diagnosed in women (e.g. POTS, ME/CFS, long COVID).
