Biography
Elsa-Karine Harchaoui is a bilingual critical care nurse at The Ottawa Hospital. She completed a master’s at the University of Ottawa School of Nursing in 2022. Passionate and advocate of women's heart health, her thesis focused on the risk factors and circumstances leading to premature death of women, of different reproductive stages, due to cardiovascular disease, using reports from the Quebec Coroner's Office as an empirical source for her research.
Once a year, she volunteers as a medical staff at the Ottawa Race Weekend. In her spare time, she loves listening to classical music and trying out new restaurants. She also enjoys spending time with her extended family doing cross-country skiing and visiting museums.
