Biography

Dr. Christine Pacheco is a cardiologist at Pierre-Boucher Hospital and University of Montréal Hospital Centre (CHUM) in Montréal, Qc, and faculty member in the department of Medicine at University of Montréal.  She is also a clinical investigator-researcher at the Centre de Recherche du Centre Hospitalier de Université de Montréal (CRCHUM).

After earning her medical degree and completing internal medicine and cardiology training at Université de Montréal, Dr. Pacheco successfully completed a fellowship in Women’s Heart Health at the Barbra Streisand Women’s Heart Center at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute in Los Angeles, California, where she acquired specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions affecting women.  She has conducted research on cardiac disease predominantly affecting women including peripartum cardiomyopathy, coronary microvascular dysfunction and acute coronary syndrome in women, and has presented at Canadian and international conferences.  She is a member of the Canadian Women’s Heart Health Alliance, a member of the executive board of the Heart and Stroke Fondation’s Quebec chapter, and one of the founding members of Quebec’s first integrative women’s cardiovascular health centre at CHUM (Cardio-F), which is set to start offering expert clinical care to women in January 2021.
